The Appalachian Artisan Center held it’s inaugural celebration of Appalachian culture, “Art & Fork” on Thursday, June 26, 2015.
Attendees were invited to join in on the fun with food, music, and art exhibits.
Executive Director Josh Mullins said it is to encourage people to buy locally.
Mullins added, “We’re really trying to make Hindman a place that’s a music friendly, art friendly town. We have an NEA grant to really do some creative placemaking and reinvent Hindman as this cultural destination for musical heritage”.
The event featured Jenn Noble’s art and music from Brett Ratliff. About 30 people took part in the food and entertainment.
