Join Lisa Nicholas & Tammy Sizemore from the Southeast KY Sheep Producers Association to learn the basics of spinning wool on a drop spindle! Each participant will leave with their own drop spindle, as well as a bag of wool roving!

About the event
WHAT TO EXPECT:
Learn the time-honored technique of spinning raw wool into yarn using a drop spindle! Hand spinning yarn is one of the oldest crafts and is central to all textile-based projects.
By the end of the workshop, students will have a small skein of yarn and the foundational knowledge to continue spinning your own yarn!
Participants will get your own drop spindle (one of the earliest tools used to spin wool!) and bag of roving to take home to continue the process of what you have learned.
