New Executive Director Appointed

On March 19, the Appalachian Artisan Center Board of Directors appointed Josh Mullins as the Center’s next Executive Director. Josh, a Hazard, Kentucky-native, earned both his bachelor’s in communications and master’s in education from Morehead State University in 2009 and 2014 respectively.

Prior to joining the staff at the Appalachian Artisan Center, Josh served as a Telegiving Program Manager for Morehead State University’s Office of Development and a 4-H Youth Development Agent for the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service. In these roles, he grew donor support for the organizations, organized educational and awareness events, and collaborated with community agencies to build unique and dynamic partnerships. At the Center, Josh hopes to expand on the Center’s outreach initiatives in community art education and better support artist entrepreneurs through workshops and one-on-one assistance.
