Call for Artists:

Heirloom: Quilts à La Mode

is an exhibition for Appalachian fiber artists working in contemporary original designs. Appalachian fiber artists are defined as ones who reside, or have family roots, and/or close ties with the Appalachian Eastern Kentucky region.

The quilts required for this exhibition are wall hanging small quilts or free standing 3D sculptural works, using various technique including appliqué, embroidery and embellishments, such as beadwork. Materials used can expand to non-traditional materials such as plastic or metal, however must be “quilted” and sewn together as assemblage.
