Master-Artist-in-Residence

Our Master Artist-in-Residence Program is a vital part of our Studios. A residency allows an artist the freedom to further develop their own body of work, focus and hone their skills, mentor other artists, develop networks, do public demonstrations, sell work, potentially teach at the Kentucky School of Craft and help grow the local artist community.

MAR in metals/jewelry Kevin Blomenkamp says, “Residencies are an integral part of the development of a professional artist’s career. The AAC MAR position grants me the time and facilities to achieve a stronger more competitive place in the work field.”

David Wright MAR in woodworking/furniture design says, “It is exciting and fulfilling to be able to continue perfecting my traditional Windsor chair making skills and furniture design during this year of opportunity."
