Berea Craft Fair

29th Annual Berea Craft Festival, July 9 - 11  2010
10:00 am until 6:00pm Fri and Sat and 10 - 5:30 on Sunday.
Over 115 artists from 16 states represented. Some of the finest in handcrafted artwork in th nation.
Featured regional entertainment and wonderful food, all in the beautiful wooded setting of Indian Fort Theatre,

     This One-Day Woodturning Workshop centers on the concept of fundamental technique, design and safety at the lathe.  Each participant will turn at the lathe with the opportunity to practice techniques and turn any number of demonstrated objects such as turned bowl or platter, door stop, honey dipper, parts for  a 4-legged stool, tool handles,  or a table pedestal.

Making a Decorative Flower Vase - A  Two-Day Ceramics Workshop in Slab Construction

      In this two-day workshop, the students will be introduced to a slab constructing method to create a simple flower vase.  During the first session, the students will learn how to make a sheet of slab with a rolling pin and a slab-roller and then learn how to construct the vase.  During the 2nd session, they will learn how to apply surface decorations, such as texturing and painting color slips, to complete their work.  All the Ceramics  materials and tools are provided for this project.  Just bring yourself and be prepared to get muddy!  The student’s work will be ready to be picked up at a announced date after the workshop.

Kentucky Appalachian Craft Fair

It gives us great pleasure to personally invite you to our 4th annual Kentucky Appalachian Craft Fair.  The KACF is open to all members of the Kentucky Appalachian Craft Council.  Invited crafters like yourself are juried because of an affiliation with these craft organizations:
